QUALITY TIME WITH MY WIFE

Watching wild horses run along side your car and having a two thousand pound Bison bull almost rub up against your vehicle and stare you down was a major rush for me and Roxie on our vacation. We experienced this in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in the Badlands of North Dakota

This past week we spent some time in Medora, North Dakota. Medora is known for the Medora Musical and Teddy Roosevelt. It has been on my bucket list for many years. Roxie wasn’t as excited about going to Medora as I was, but on the way home later that week she said its one of the best vacations we have taken.

I’m going to do a picture blog with an explanation behind each picture from our vacation. Enjoy

Our first night in Medora sitting in our lawn chairs outside of our motel. The view of the Badlands was right in front of us.
Driving through Theodore Roosevelt National Park we encountered hundreds of Bison. They walked right up to our vehicle. Awesome experience.
Many wild horses in the park. They ran along side of our vehicle for a long ways. It was a thrill
Pitchfork Steak Fondue

The Pitchfork Steak Fondue cookout was awesome. They feed a lot of people in a short time.

The Medora Musical is held in a huge outdoor amphitheater. You take a escalator to the amphitheater. We had beautiful cool weather to sit and watch the show.
Wednesday morning we attended the Gospel Breakfast Brunch. It was held right downtown Medora. The brunch was really good.
We took in a Teddy Roosevelt Show. This guy was amazing. The President talked about his life and time living in Medora.
Had so much fun playing mini golf! The mini golf course was located next to our motel. It was the nicest and the best well kept mini course we have played on. We tied and I had a hole in one!

We ate well on vacation! Didn’t have one bad meal.

At the Pitchfork Steak Fondue we sat next to some friends from Minneota. Ruth and her husband Rick. Small world when you are so far away from home.

Ruth and Rick Bot from Minneota were at the Medora Musical.

We really liked our motel. The Badlands Motel was very clean and the location was excellent. You could walk to everything.

Thanks for scrolling through the pictures. We had a fun week. We met so many people. Once we said we were from Madison Minnesota, someone always asked “Do you know so and so?” Small world.
