TWO DAYS OF STATE DANCE WITH A FEW MISHAPS I HAD
Covering the state dance tournament at Target Center every year is a blast for me. I love it. It just has a different vibe to it than other state tournaments. It’s hard to even find the right words to use. I have covered state football, basketball and baseball, even cross country and golf and nothing compares to state dance. The number of people that attend, … Continue reading TWO DAYS OF STATE DANCE WITH A FEW MISHAPS I HAD
A STRANGE SECTION DANCE FOR ME
Once again the LQPV-DB Shadows dance team danced their way to the state dance tournament by placing in the top three at section dance Saturday. Just a few weeks ago I had Brody Petermann from the LQPV Robotics Team. I am always so impressed with students from … Continue reading HALFTIME FRIENDS
MY FRIEND LOU
I get to spend time with some of the best people in area press boxes. I’ve spent hours and hours in different press boxes over the years visiting with scoreboard people, public address announcers, and other radio sportsbroadcasters. I met Lou Kuno from Montevideo thirty some years ago. At the time, Lou was broadcasting Montevideo sports for KDMA. Each time I was in Montevideo to … Continue reading MY FRIEND LOU
