I couldn’t sleep the other night, so I got out of bed around 4am and turned the television on only to catch the end of the movie The Notebook. I have seen The Notebook many times and think it is a really good movie, very well written. That got me thinking of my favorite movies, so I started a list. Unfortunately, I fell back to sleep on the couch and only listed about five of my favorite movies. Roxie and I really enjoy going to the movies. In fact, that was our very first date a movie called, The World’s Greatest Athlete, at the Grand in Madison back in 1973.
I kept that paper I started and when I was home in the evenings I would pick it up and add to it. I have broken down the movies into categories, drama, comedy, sports, holiday and romance. I hate horror movies and only have gone to a few of them in my lifetime, so I have left that out. The only horror movie I didn’t mind was, The Shining with Jack Nicholson. Another category would be musicals; I don’t like musicals, however I loved The Rocky Horror Picture Show, that actually was a musical, science fiction, horror, comedy movie. A classic movie.
Here is my list, and I gave this some really good thought. I have them ranked 1-10, number one my favorite. I did google top movies and found I really had a good memory when it came to the movies that we have seen. I did add a few from google that I hadn’t thought of and felt they needed to be on my list. Feel free to respond with your favorite movies, I would like to hear what they are.
