For some reason my relatives and friends like to bring me food. At work, home, ballparks, church and other places, someone will approach me with food in hand. Here this is for you!
This past weekend at Madison Memorial Field my friend Julie Hill said she baked a Better Than Whatever Cake just for me. She said she was going to run home and get it and put it in the press box for me. I was going to be broadcasting the Madison Mallards game later. I didn’t know if she was serious or just kidding around. Well, it turned out it was for the workers in the press box which included me. I had two pieces while broadcasting the baseball game. It was very good, but not better than whatever. 😆

I like to take pictures of my food and post them on my social media sites. A few of my friends tell me not to do that! They hate food pics on social media. Kris, my coworker is one of them. So sometimes I take a picture of my meal and just text it to her to upset her! It’s just for her. I enjoy looking at people’s food posts. Phaeth who works at the Pantry Cafe in Madison has the best food pics, so does my cousin Samantha in Mankato. Samantha loves to cook and her short videos and pics of what she is making are amazing. Makes me want to jump in the car and drive to Mankato.

It has become a habit for me when I’m at a restaurant and the waitress brings me my meal I always take a picture of it. I have started posting the pictures on the restaurants’ social media sites and writing a review. I like doing that and I hope it means a lot to the restaurant. I would encourage you to do that. It’s fun.

Working at the radio station we have the best listeners! You can count on some of them always bringing us treats or food to say thank you for what we do. The counter inside the front door always has food on it. So we are grazing all day long. One lady always brings us a hot dish. She brings different ones and my favorite is the one with sauerkraut in it. Some bring homemade caramel rolls others bring rhubarb cake. I love our radio listeners!

The next few weeks I will be posting a lot of county fair food pics. I’ve been asked to be a judge at the pie baking contest at the Swift County Fair in Appleton. They ask me every year! So watch for my pics of pies, corndogs, ribs, pork chops on a stick and more! Enjoy!
